UK VISAS AND IMMIGRATION TO INCREASE FEES
In July, the UK Government announced that there would be an increase in both UK visa fees and the Immigration Health Surcharge.
There will be 15% to 20% increase in visa fees. Work and visit visas will increase by 15%, and student, settlement and other categories will increase by 20%.
More concerning is the increase for the Immigration Health Surcharge, which is a massive 66%. The main rate of £624 which will increase to £1035 per year per applicant. The rate for children, students and youth mobility applicants will increase from £470 to £776 per year per person.
The increase is due to be implemented when the UK Parliament returns after their summer break in September 2023.
Please note the Health and Care Worker Visa holders remain exempt from the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS).
