NEW Traffic Light System to enter the UK

UK travel guidance

As of the 17th May, there will be new rules to enter England. This will be based on a traffic light system and which country you have arrived from (including countries you have transited through). 

Countries are listed as being Green, Amber or Red. There are different rules depending on which country you are travelling from and what you need to do depends on where you have been in the 10 days before you arrive. If you have been in a country or territory on the:

GREEN LIST: see LINK for full guidance.

1) take a COVID-19 test - You must take the test in the 3 days before the service on which you will arrive in England departs - see LINK for more information.

2) book and pay for a day 2 COVID-19 travel test - to be taken after arrival in England. see LINK for more information.

3) Complete a passenger locator form - see LINK for more information.

If you are not fully vaccinated

1) take a COVID-19 test - children 10 years and under do not need to take this test. You must take the test in the 3 days before the service on which you will arrive in England departs - see LINK for more information.

2) book and pay for a day 2 and day 8 COVID-19 travel test - to be taken after arrival in England. see LINK for more information.

3) Complete a passenger locator form - see LINK for more information. 

If you are fully vaccinated

1) Take a COVID-19 Test - children 10 years and under do not need to take this test. 

2) book and pay for a day 2 COVID-19 test - to be taken after arrival in England. see LINK for more information.
