Restless now offering Irish Working Holiday Visas

Restless are now offering an Irish Working Holiday Visa assistance service.

Ireland, Australia and New Zealand have a reciprocal agreement under which each country allows young citizens from the other to fund a holiday through casual work. Each of the schemes is open to applicants aged 18-30. The schemes allow participants to work for a maximum period of six months with any one employer.

Settlement Visas

Wife / Husband / Civil Partner/ Dependants

Spouses, Civil Partners and Dependants of people with the right to live in the UK (such as holders of a British passport, Certificate of Entitlement or UK Residency - known as Sponsors) who want to settle in the UK, must apply for Settlement entry clearance before they travel. The holder must enter the UK at the same time, or after, the Sponsor. After two years, they must apply for an extension to stay in the UK.

*Note* Spouses, Civil partners and dependants of people with a visa allowing the holder to be in the UK (for instance if they hold a UK Ancestry visa, Work Permit, or Student visa – known as the Sponsor) who wish to accompany or join the Sponsor in the UK, must apply for Non-Settlement entry clearance from their home country before they travel.

You must show that:

you are legally married to each other or are in a civil partnership recognised in the UK
your husband, wife or civil partner is present and settled in the UK
you both intend to live together permanently as husband and wife or as civil partners
you have met each other before.
you can support yourselves and any dependants without any help from public funds.
you have suitable accommodation, which is owned or lived in only by you and your household, and where you and your dependants can live without any help from public funds.
your husband, wife or civil partner is not under 21, and you are not under 21 at the date of arrival in the UK.
If your husband or wife has more than one wife or husband, only one will be allowed to join them in the UK.

De facto / Unmarried Partner

Unmarried Partners of people with right to reside in the UK (British Passport, Certificate of Entitlement or UK Residency – known as the Sponsor) who wish to enter the UK with a view to settlement, must apply for Settlement entry clearance from their home country, before they travel. The holder must enter the UK at the same time or after the Sponsor. At the end of this period they must apply for an extension (at the UK Border Agency) to remain in the UK.

*Note* Unmarried Partners of persons with limited leave to enter/remain in the UK (UK Ancestry, Work Permit – known as the Sponsor) who wish to accompany or join the Sponsor in the UK, must apply for Non-Settlement entry clearance from their home country before they travel.

You must show that:

You are the unmarried partner of someone who is currently settled in the United Kingdom or who is applying to settle at the same time as you.
Any previous marriage (or similar relationship) by either partner has permanently broken down
There is adequate accommodation for both parties and any dependants, which they own or occupy exclusively
You and your partner(sponsor) have been living together in a relationship akin to marriage for two years or more (you must provide evidence going back at least two years to prove it)
Both parties will be able to maintain themselves and any dependants adequately without recourse to public funds
Both parties intend to live together permanently.

UK Ancestry Visa

The UK Ancestry Visa allows you to live and work in the UK for five years. This is a special little visa, as you can re-apply for it as many times as you like. You can also exit and re-enter the UK multiple times.

It is important to remember that at the end of your five year visa, if you have not spent more than 90 consecutive days out of the country, you may apply for indefinite leave to remain (ILR).(...)
